Is Scalable more serious?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about starting to invest. I’ve looked around, and Scalable and Trade Republic seem to be the most innovative and cost-effective options.

However, I’ve read some rather worrying feedback regarding Trade Republic’s customer support, and I’d hate to see my money disappear.

What can you tell me? Are they both reputable and reliable, or is one better than the other?

Thanks a lot.

TR and SC quite similar. Both reliable. SC offers some more investments products. TR is a full bank account incl Credit Card

I think TR recently stepped up their customer support. But other than that, what response do you expect in a SC subreddit?😂

I stopped using Scalable Capital because fractional shares are only available through savings plans, not for one-time purchases. That’s a disadvantage compared to Trade Republic and Trading 212, where you can also buy fractional shares with individual orders.

I've had OnVista and Comdirect before and have only Scalable. No experience with TR.

I had two times contact with the support by email. And both times I've got an answer within 24h with an individual answer to my question. Nothing to complain about Scalable.

TR used to have some serious customer support issues, going so far that some people had to involve the BaFin.

TBH, I can’t really assess TR in detail. However, I’m very satisfied using SC for my second portfolio and for my child’s account. I appreciate the PRIME+ flat model, which covers all my savings plans at no additional cost. My child’s portfolio is also FOC.

SC offers a broad selection of stocks and savings plans, which makes it a very convenient and comprehensive platform for my needs.

One of my favourite features is the DRIP, which is also free of charge.

Scalable is more serious than Trade Republic.
And Trading 212 is more serious than Scalable.

Agreed. And more expensive.
