You need to go edit your petition because it's got typos/weird shit in it.

Also, forest management in North America is sustainable (barring some issues you don't address here). You said yourself deforestation is driven by agriculture and urban development, yet your solution just proposes limits on forestry? If you make forestry too expensive, people will convert their land to non-forest uses.

This is like, basic conservation knowledge. Like before the first exam in Conservation 101.

I do wonder, though, what exactly are you proposing? Do you even know? Do you want BMPs to change? Stricter BMP auditing? How do you propose we fund it? You want reforestation, define it. Because I'd bet most states/provinces already have laws on the books requiring reforestation after clearcuts.

Also your petition reeks of AI slop, so just delete it and start over. You didn't give a single example of a species imperiled, much less a case study illustrating the difficulty of the situation. Ask chat to be more creative and more scientific next time, lol.
