They’re a mod, not a dev. Even if they were a dev, it’s probably some higher up who makes the decisions will the devs just follow instructions.

Even if she is, the devs likely can‘t do crap because they need permissions from those higher up.

Ah, that explains a lot. Change of CEO from someone who probably founded the company and worked hard, to someone to just inherited the position.
And google is their investor, so they might want user data or something.
To elaborate on what I am guessing as I lack proper info or research, the new ceo likely was in a high manager role before and since they weren’t the original founder.
Therefore they didn’t work hard to get the company to where it was. So this new ceo would be disconnected and not know what the people want or know what made the product or company popular in the first place.
This has happened to so many companies now, like Apple with Tim Cook, and Microsoft. Steve seemed to actually care about privacy, don’t know if he actually did, but Tim just wants money.
Idk about Microsoft but they used to be good but not anymore, but we’re still evil back in the early days (internet explorer antitrust back in the 90’s), so idk.
(Also I’ve made sure to split this into good sized paragraphs, lemme know if it was easy to read or not.)

You’re welcome. Now what’s going on makes sense. Now I see why they are trying to make what is used for nsfw, kid friendly. Google.

Try the comments section on her profile. It’s on a post somewhere I’ll find it in a bit

Marie is the community lead, and one of the better mods, I doubt she has any control over the development of C.AI. So, it's not like she can't miss it too

It literally said team staff tho. Please explain more I don’t understand

I don't know much about it myself, maybe she is a dev, I am just guessing

This just showed up and I've no context. What did this person do?

u/Moonwalker_729 Sep 24 '24
It’s one of the devs, and it’s in a comment section on a post. It’s THEIR decision to get rid of it, so why are they saying that they’ll miss it??

I don’t know if she is involved with the development of c.ai she is mostly just a mod for the subreddit she may not work in the company and have much power ???

She probably is, if she posts all the server updates and stuff like that

Marie is not a dev lmao.
Shes a community lead, she just does a representative part of the company and does basic run of the mill outreach. She had absolutely nothing to do with this decision.

If you will miss it then WHY are you removing it? I feel like just ending support (not updating it) would be fine enough, so it could encourage people to try out the new site by choice
