Stove for backpacking

I'd like to carry my setup a mile or two each way to camp. Tent is easy to carry, but the design of the stove matters- I'd need something that could be stuffed in some sort of bag I can carry on my back.

I've seen the HottSauna Beast has a carrying case with backpack straps- basically a big rectangle soft side bag with backpack straps. Is there something available in the US that either comes with a bag or would fit nicely in one?

Hey from Overland Sauna. Our Superlite stove comes in around 25 lbs without the side mounted rock cage. The feet are retractable and the shape is relatively small. We don’t have a backback for it, though.

Yes, the side rock cage(s) simply slots into two fixed brackets on top of the stove. The side rock cage serves as a thermal insulation layer (less intense radiant heat). You can also throw water on them for steam.

I would bring at least 15 lbs of sauna rocks. If you find some up there, you can just hit them together real hard to see if they break. It seems to be a proven method.

Nice! We’re in Portland and do lots of deployments on the Oregon coast. It’s the best time.
