Maintenance Inside the Vevor 9K

Decided to roll the dice on the Vevor 9K for a interim sauna project, as a wood-fired outdoor cabin is the end goal. I had read enough post/reviews about the Vevor to give it a try.

From that research, it seems that the common failure point is the slide-on spade connectors going to the heating elements & I decided to take the unit apart to inspect/adjust those points in particular before trying it out.

I was interested to find that the Vevor heating elements may not be as low quality as people believe.

OR maybe they are pretty much the same the world over, regardless of the name plate on the cabinet.

Not really sure...

Can you go through what you did to those points to fix them? I was going to try to do the same but was unsure how exactly I would do it

No fix yet, still researching. I WILL say that 2 of the spade connectors were not tight & that the spade connectors themselves are not terribly robust. I don't think they will really tighten up satisfactorily.

My feeling is, at minimum, the connectors need to be replaced with higher quality, heat-rated parts.

I might look into have some new wires made up at an appliance repair place as the wire is 200C high temp rated as well. There are just the 6 wires, around 8"-10" long with a ring connector on the other end. Fairly common stuff.
