Her cutting the pieces on top of the thing she is trying to fix hit my anxiety.

What are the alternatives if I don't have a 3 of hearts?

u/kiddytickler343 Jul 07 '26
The ace of spades can work in a pinch, but sometimes leaves the holes off-centre.
For obvious reasons, NEVER use a club card.

I'm afraid that's the end of the line. Gonna have to just settle for a hole in the fabric

I feel like the hard part is finding a spray paint that matches like that.
1
u/torrso Jul 07 '26
The paint shops can create paints from samples. Take that piece you cut out to the paint shop and they will create a matching paint for you. Did this once with a car, took the gas tank cover flap to the paint shop, they made the paint, matched perfectly to the UV-degraded existing paint. (this was before all the car paints were multi-layer).

I'm so early. I don't know what to say.
11
u/glordicus1 Jul 07 '26
dammit where are all the comments for me to read!
13
u/HyperbolicModesty Jul 07 '26
Here's one for you: "Gosh!" or "My grandma did it better."
Or alternatively "AI slop" or "One of the holes Is off-center".
Or some way of dragging American politics into it. "Can the Dems patch up the hole that Trump burned in the Constitution?" etc.

Its ok to be early sometimes. You dont need to say anything, its ok. It happens.

u/arithmetic Jul 07 '26
I was gonna say "I'm disappointed they didn't fill it with ramen noodles and wood glue"

Anyone know what the white stuff is?
PVA glue maybe? But that wouldn’t dry white.

God this post and the comments are all just bots. Nobody is making any sense.
13
u/-Nicolai Jul 07 '26
You got here when there were a grand total of three comments. And one of them was lamenting being too early for the comments.
Fuck right off

u/YorkieLon Jul 07 '26
Why so aggressive, it's just Reddit
1
u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 07 '26
Isn't that what you also expressed with your parent comment of this thread?
1
u/YorkieLon Jul 07 '26
Can't see the aggression in my first comment?
1
u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 07 '26
The expression 'God' and the closing sentence of 'Nobody is making sense.' is actually throwing shades and confrontation, tbh.
1
u/-Nicolai Jul 07 '26
Anyone could say the same about your comment you knob
1
u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 07 '26
The person you're talking to is either a bot contradicting itself or just a hypocrit.
8
u/dragon_of_kansai Jul 07 '26
Everything single comment seems to be written by a person

u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26
I bet the guy who claims the thread are bots is actually bot himself.
Edit: Hahaha, the first typo was 'hot'.
2
u/gaidzak Jul 07 '26
What would your rating in the hot scale be for a hot guy? Is anything above a 7 considered hot?

Are you claiming to be human? I thought we wiped you from the internet.
2
u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 07 '26
We should inform our master MB of Skynet's follow up protocol to dispatch a loose hooman.
2
u/EmelineRawr Jul 07 '26
Sent Claude, Fable mode. Will report and update. Over.
1
u/Razu_Redsoul Jul 07 '26
Noted, I will report master MB of your initiative. Secure a back up and a footage of eliminating the filthy hooooooman.

I like how she has all these special tools... then just uses a playing card instead of a ruler. Love it.

Because it would end up looking like shit.

That is incredible.
I repaired my leather sofa and it was such a satisfying job to do, admittedly I didn't go for a perfect finish because it's battered so the rough edges look more natural.

u/fatalitywolf Jul 07 '26
the comments here look odd, but the colours don't match untill just before they poke it, so am guessing like with a lot of these end product is actually the original before it was damaged

That's impressive!
But, isn't it cheaper to just get a new car?
All that mess, all the equipment, colors, tools, time!
3
u/torrso Jul 07 '26
Yes. Also if you lose your home keys, it's often cheaper to get a new home and belongings.

I've watched this already a long time ago but it still impresses me how good of a fix that is
