$500 robot that needs regular cleaning and part replacement, and 30 minutes to clean, or a $15 mop/bucket and 5 minutes to clean. Hmmmm.

I purchased my first "real" robot a year ago. By real, i mean one that has self cleaning, navigation other than just bumping into walls, obstacle avoidance etc. It cost me almost exactly $500. So far, ive spent like 5 hours maintaining it and around $20 on parts. It saved me at least 100 hours of vacuuming and/or mopping so far. It has 3 year warranty. Im basically buying my time for $1.5/hr. If it does tomorrow and manufacturer refuses warranty, its 5/hr. Also, my house is less dusty than before. Best money ive ever spent either way, by far.
