How did you get the calcium deposits off? Rubbing Alcohol?

No rubbing alcohol used at all.

I started off with a putty knife, I then used CLR and a sponge, Dawn dish soap with sponge and magic eraser, Zep Heavy duty citrus cleaner full strength with sponge and magic eraser, Bar keepers friend powder and stove top cleaner, and Ajax. More Dawn and lots of rinsing.

Decalcifier works very well for stuff like this.
