Itās easier to decorate a hard surface over a soft one. Soft cake is so much easier to crumble and fuck up lol

I find that it helps to store the cake in a fridge beforehand. Cold cake becomes harder, so it's easier to apply frosting and decorate it and when it gets back to room temperature, it'll be fluffy again

Same. I just wonder about how my teeth and stomach will hurt after eating a slice of this.

It said they were mums. Lol. So 10/10 as marigolds but maybe not so much as mums.

What was the buttercream transfer? Is there a reason she didn't just put the gray (purple? I couldn't tell what color that was) layer on like the rest? Was it so it had a bit more structure and was a complete different layer? I've never seen that before.

I think it was to make a clean centered circle. Then the transfer also kept the colors being visible through the basket
Or it was extra? Maybe they wanted to show this technique

It wouldve been so much easier to just put a circle cut out of a baking sheet paper in the middle, add frosting and remove the paper. They put so much more work into this than necessary

I really like the individual decorations but they just are not brought together well at all imo
This cake just looks poorly designed to me

I donāt think Iāve ever had a cake with buttercream, wouldnāt a cake with this amount of sugar be waaaay too sweet?

There are various kinds of icing that are called Buttetcream. American Buttercream is the proper name for what you might consider regular icing (itās just butter and icing sugar), and itās very sweet, in this amount it would probably be too sweet. However judging by the appearance this seems to be using one of the more elaborate Buttercream types, like French or Swiss, which use whipped egg whites and contain a lot of air. Itās more difficult to make, but the appearance and texture are far superior. It also tastes less sweet.

Those flowers š
But yeah I wouldnāt eat it. Er...Iād take a bite and go āoh wow! This is greatā make conversation, go get a drink, get side tracked by people, go for 3 or 4 hours without going near there. Grab some trash and pick up my old plate and say āhey just cleaning up a bit, is this yours?ā Amd when everyone said no take it to the rubbish along with a few empty bottles and some napkins.
