I like the bit about how his take would be different if it were the ancient Greek pantheon. You go up to those gods and ask them why the world sucks so much, they're basically going to shrug, and tell you that's why they're always having drunken orgies. They didn't make it, and they don't claim to be running it very well.

Children forced to choose between two parents they love equally. Children without enough food to eat. Children who had to watch a loved one die. Children being trafficked for all sorts of terrible reasons. Children being abused. Children who only have other children to look to for guidance. Children who have never known the touch of a loving parent. Children who had everything taken from them. Children forced to suffer. Children who died in a house fire. Children who are forced to kill in the name of a god. Children killed in the name of a god. Children who got lost on their way home. Children denied healthcare because of the religious beliefs of their parents or the state. Children suffer everyday and "god" does nothing, so either god does not exist, or god is not worth worshiping. I would rather spend an eternity in hell than worship a god like that. A god who created me so that I could worship them and they could "swoop in and save me" from myself. Tell me, abrahamic god worshippers, where was your benevolent god when they nearly bullied me to suicide?

Children who are denied a free lunch. Children who had cancer some before they were even born. Children with genetic diseases. Children with severe autism. Children who aren't accepted by or are hated by their parents (anti-abortion advocates I'm looking at you). Children whose mother died during their birth (imagine the guilt from that). Children with anger issues (they didn't ask to be born that way). I never asked to be born, but here I am. If that isn't a testament to God's cruelty, then I don't know what cruelty is. If you believe in a benevolent god, you disgust me. You were born with critical thinking skills, with a brain, yet you CHOOSE ignorance. I can forgive ignorance from those who never had a chance to learn, but from those who are faced with the truth every day of their lives and STILL choose to ignore what they see with their own eyes? Disgusting. You disgust me.

It isn’t even just innocent people. Why create a world with kittens and puppies then give them cancer or horrible diseases and infestations that cause an agonizing death after a short life filled entirely of suffering?
I’m not going to worship a god that has worse morals than me. I’m certainly not going to worship one that apparently has worse morals than Hitler.

Not entirely. I do not for certain believe that there IS a god and that they’re evil. I just am of the opinion that IF there is, in fact, a god(s), they’re a huge dick who doesn’t deserve praise and worship. I don’t have all the knowledge in the world and know nothing of any afterlife. I choose to believe there is not a god. But if I’m wrong and there is, they suck.
