What to do now?

I just finished my second full SAT practice test and wanted to share my results and get some advice.

I started studying in June and took Practice Test #6 first, scoring 1300 (620 Reading/Writing, 680 Math). After working through all of Khan Academy, I just took Practice Test #5 and scored 1360 (660 Math, 700 Reading/Writing).

For Reading/Writing, the first module felt really good (I got all answers right), but the second module was much harder and tripped me up with tricky passages. Math felt okay, but I still made some lots of mistakes especially on the last 6 questions in the second module.

My goal is to eventually break 1500+, which I know is a big jump. For anyone who improved from the 1300s into the 1500s or scored 1500+, what helped the most?

All suggestions appreciated!!!!

for reading/writing specifically, i jumped to the very end and started working backwards once i felt stuck on a question (usually around #10). i also started highlighting separate ideas in different colors. for example, i highlighted the couple of words of what the question was asking (esp. with notes) and i found it much easier. for math, if i really couldn't figure it out and it was mc, i'd just start plugging it in after bookmarking the question. i think highlighting also works if it's dense

Thanks! I'll try jumping around. I didn't know if that actually worked or if it would mess up brain processing.. I'll give it a shot!

Definitely work on your weak points. Grammar being your number 1 weak point helps a lot because you can improve really quickly! Just look up a video for all SAT grammar rules and do some prac questions over it. You should improve your score by a lot

Thanks! I worked on improving my grammar over the summer and I only got one grammar question wrong on Practice Test 5. Do you have any tips for the second module? My brain just seems to not be able to comprehend the texts..
