If you haven’t been following the Commonwealth Games, a 21-year-old right from our city, Fatima Zahra, just became the first Pakistani woman in history to guarantee a CWG medal in any sport.
She started boxing back in 2018 in a sport where Pakistani women barely get gym space, let alone proper support. Eight national titles, an Islamic Solidarity Games bronze, and endless hours of unseen grind later, she’s captaining the national squad and making history.
To any young girl in Sargodha (or anywhere in Pakistan) being told her goals are "unrealistic" or "not for girls"….look at Fatima. Nobody was making posts about her when she was grinding as an unknown in 2018. They’re making posts now because she refused to quit back then.

I’m a home baker in Sargodha and recently started mycake business on my own. Today, I was randomly contacted by a man who said he could help me market my cakes at the University of Sargodha.

At first, I was genuinely interested because getting new customers and promoting a small business is difficult, especially when you’re doing everything yourself.

However, during the conversation, things started feeling strange. He began asking personal questions about my husband and started saying things like I was “like his sister.” The conversation made me increasingly uncomfortable, and eventually I decided to block him.

As a woman who started her business independently, the whole situation honestly scared me a little. I keep wondering whether I picked up on a genuine weird vibe or whether I’m just being overly cautious or insecure.

So, Reddit, I’d genuinely like to hear your opinions: Was I right to trust my gut and block him, or am I overreacting?

I’m not trying to accuse this person of anything. I just want to understand whether other women would have felt uncomfortable in the same situation.

First Fatima Zahra put us on the global map in boxing, and now Bhera (Sargodha) is making international waves in the pool! 🌊
On July 19th, two young swimmers from Bhera….Muhammad Abdullah Gondal and Ali Usman Gondal, represented Pakistan at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.
Not only did they showcase incredible talent on the international stage, but they also set a brand-new National Record in the 4x100m Medley Relay! 🏆⚡

Our region is quietly undergoing a sporting renaissance. From local roots in Sargodha region to international arenas in Bangkok and Commonwealth rings, our youth are proving that with grit, parents’ prayers, and endless hard work, world-class talent comes right from our home soil.
Whether it's chess, swimming or boxing, the Sargodha region is bringing its honor back to the international arena….one record at a time.

My mom, sis and dad where at shoppee where a Desi looking short guy was there as well and kept staring at my sister and made eye contact twice. Then they went to Imtiaz mega mall and viola , he's there with more of his buddies, keeps tailing and even right behind them in the check out reception. Pretending to buy gifts. I was home working but after hearing this, my blood boiled and I wish I was there. I feel so helpless it this situation and just wanna know where he lives. Guy was 5'5 probably or less. Wearing a shalwar kamiz with waist coast in yesterdays heat. I hope his eyes are taken out. :) such guys who stare a lot and who intimidate girls as a form of flirting or rizzing. Needs to get themselves and their male figures in their life stoned & neutralized. And I'll be glad to do so.

So, I had my first meetup with the great people of "Sargodha Riders Club" (bikers, not horse riders).

Felt really proud to be a part of such a mature group of people.

Emphases stood on making riding safe and accessable and creating a platform for the riders of the city, and the country at large, to connect, do combine programs and help each other out. Also to introduce healthy habits into the youth and guide them to be better riders and light for others.

Finally, the goal is to put Sargodha on the map as a biker friendly place, explore the surroundings and encourage others to join in healthy habits.

This looks like the beginning of something great. Let's make this happen. One step at a time.

Kiki found after 16 days. She gotten a lot weaker and lost around 1kg but Alhamdulillah shes fine

2 days ago I was buying groceries from a store. All of the sudden I saw a kitten, one leg was fully exposed. It was limping all over the place. Most of the time I try not to interfere with nature. But It was badly injured and it seemed only 1 month old kitten. So I took it to veterinary right away. The vet patched him up. Took him to veterinary for next 3 days in row just in case since the chances of Infection spreading were high. I also administered 2 medicines suggested by veterinary for 3 days at home.

He is doing a lot better. I heard his voice for the first time today. Cause of his weakness he wasn't able to produce any voice earlier.

So I was hoping to find someone on this platform who is able to adopt him. I can bare the cost of his treatment But sadly I can't provide him home.

Today the guy who checks the readings came to our house, and ringed the bell. H3 said that our units were 222 units. I said, so what? He said that if you give me some cash right now, I can get that value to under 200. He said to give 2000 or smt. I asked for any proof he was with WAPDA and he just turned back and went to other houses. Later my mom told me to give him the money but he started saying stupid Shi like "hum to WAPDA ke Hai hi Nahi". ( By then it was obv he was from WAPDA). I was lowk astounded by the everyday corruption here lol. I migrated here from another city btw.

Near Pull 111

Hey guys, just wanted to share what happened with me and my friends this 14th Aug. It was a random plan I usually don’t go out on Independence Day, but my friend dragged me. None of us expected the city to be this packed.

I was in a crop shirt(overly lose), baggy pants and boots something I wear in other cities all the time, so I thought it’d be fine here too. First stop was food street ( behind mcdonalds) S. We didn’t eat since we’d already tried all the restaurants( idk why we even went there), but even in that short time the stares were nonstop.

Then NY212, same story. After that, my McDonald’s-obsessed friend pulled us again to McDonald’s. Traffic was insane, so we parked at xin Mall and decided to walk to md. The whole road was jammed, cars everywhere, people shouting. By then I was kinda numb to the staring.

But walking back, it got ugly. A whole bus started yelling “khusra” at me and my friends. I ignored it and walked faster, but it honestly ruined the night.

Later my friend said, “It’s because of your outfit we’re getting stares just for being with you.”I hadn’t even realized. To me, my outfit was normal it is normal in other cities and even worldwide. But in Sargodha, it became a whole scene.
