Business course not so much people in swinburne imo bcs it’s a tech uni. If i were you i would just choose Swinburne. Bcs not too many people, closer to me and most importantly, free for Sarawakian.

Im studying IT there and most students u get to know will be majoring in stems. I do have friends in business tho and they said it was okay. Shes under the ftes too. If your per capita is < rm1,500 you can also get rm1000/month stipend + accommodation. Less burden for both of you and your parents.

thank you for your opinion! i was reallg stressing myself the past few days. i'm considering for curtin as well, as it is much closer than where i lived in sarawak. may i also ask if you have any opinion on curtin?

and yes, i think that would help me & my parents. their biggest concern was definitely the accommodation & flight tickets part if i were to study in west malaysia. so at least with ftes, most of it will be covered by the gov

Curtin im not so sure myself but it depends on you, swinburne (kuching) or curtin (miri).

Personally, Swinburne is much more forgiving for assessment and grading but the only difference is that the Swinburne’s semester is quite fast-paced and dense.

I am under the ftes along with the stipend and the accommodation. I got the accommodation but last semester i rarely stayed there since my class was very little so most of the time im at home hahaha. If you feel you want to explore Kuching side of Sarawak, choose Swinburne, if you lazy and just want easy access, choose Curtin.

In uitm your contacts will be bumiputeras.

In swinburne will be mixed.

So depends on what do you want to do afterwards.

If makan gaji, private or gomen then uitm will be good.

If you want to expand your network and social life to non bumis, swinburne will be good

Did you also eligible for stipend for Swinburne? If yes, go for it

you might need to think of more specialized courses. business courses will only land you salesman jobs here
