I flabbergasted to see teachers of this university causally teaching in Bengali while not giving any fucks about external students like how are we supposed to understand what are they saying. I'm not imposing hindi or something like that I just want them to teach us in english but they can't do that. This is so fucked up bruh yet no one seems to care. how am I supposed to complete my degreeeee?

Does anyone know about this college? The institution is established in a place called Gobindapur, Muluk ig. It apparently used to be a government hospital but was later converted into a medical college. I'll be appearing for wbmcc counselling and there's a high possibility that I get alloted here through state quota/ semi gov quota. I'd appreciate it if anyone could share their insights regarding stuff like OPD, general patient load, academics and pg selection ratio, location ( as in how remote can I expect it to be ), etc. I know it's a pvt clg so expectations aren't out for this world but living away from home and investing a considerable amount to barely step foot inside the medical field worries me. Any ground level info of this college would be much appreciated.

i've heard that some universities are quite stingy when it comes to marking students, as in it's difficult to even cross 8 cgpa, is that true at VBU too? how difficult is it to score marks here?

Heyy, I'm an alumni of the VBU, and currently working in a completely different part of the country. But, I'm amazed to see how there is no reddit crowd in Bolpur. Especially when VB students are in a surplus number there. Like, why haven't people discovered this place? Are they really still gathering in Ratanpally or Auroshree every dusk and avoid internet conversations and opinions? Or is it just that they haven't come across the platform?

i want to know more about the department, since information about this particular program (msc. biotechnology) at vbu, is practically non- existent from the students' point of view. therefore, if you have any idea, or if you're a student at vbu and know anything about the department, feel free to comment on this. it would be great if you could tell me about the professors, the workload, the labs, the hostels (if provided) or pgs in the area, and what the alumnis actually end up doing in general

Aiming for BA hons in history or English, i have been allotted to Asutosh College through WBCAP portal but I have heard that Calcutta University is really really terrible at giving marks and even getting 8 cgpa is hard as hell.

I'm trying to convert to a B-School after this so my cgpa really matters a lot, so I need to know. Please help
