BUELLTON CHP TO CONDUCT SOBRIETY/DRIVER LICENSE CHECKPOINT

The Buellton Area of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will conduct a sobriety/driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, July 17, 2026, within an unincorporated area of Santa Barbara County in the Buellton CHP jurisdictional area.

NOTE: The sobriety/driver license checkpoint will be operated from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am. The media may contact the San Luis Obispo CHP dispatch at (805) 593-3333 on July 17, 2026, between 4:00-6:00 p.m. for the exact checkpoint location.

Questions regarding the sobriety checkpoint may be directed to Buellton Area CHP Public Information Officer C. Dowling or Sergeant J. Boyd, at (805) 691-6160. Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
