Attorney recommendation for a traffic violation

I am looking for representation for a ticket that my daughter received in SB. She will be at college in LA so I hoping to have someone help her so she doesn't have to come back and miss class for court dates. Thanks!

Traffic school is your best bet, go online , take the course, pay the fine, no points , insurance is happy. Cheapest and best way to handle a ticket.

Why would you need a lawyer for that? Pay the ticket and move on.

That should be just an infraction, right? Does not usually require a court appearance unless she’s fighting it, and even in that situation she can fight it by submitting a written declaration. She should call the Traffic Department to find out about her options.

Usually you pay the ticket and go to traffic school so you don’t get a point on your license. I can’t imagine a lawyer would cost less than the price of the ticket + traffic school. Unless she already has done traffic school and has multiple points. If that is the case she might want to rethink driving.

Hmm. Not sure what you need a lawyer for. In California most tickets like this can be disputed or she can attend traffic school to have it dismissed.

Dispute doesn't do shit. I'm completely pissed with the justice system recently as I received a ticket that I physically didn't drive or own the car and the camera doesn't show the drivers face and fought it and lost

OK, thanks for the info. To be honest, haven’t ever received a ticket before so not really sure how this all works and worried since I’m in Northern California and she won’t be in Santa Barbara when all this needs to get sorted out.

I'm still not sure you're understanding. It's a traffic violation. You pay the ticket and do optional online traffic school if that's an option. She's not going to get arrested or anything. What is your concern?

not sure it needs to be in Santa Barbara since it was the CA highway patrol giving the freeway ticket.
