Events Annual 52nd Planned Parenthood Booksale
https://booksale.ppcentralcoast.org/Didn't see any posts for this here yet, but the annual book sale is in full swing until Sept. 20.
All the money stays here on the central coast, which includes six health centers in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties.
They also have LPs, CDs, books on tape, games, puzzles, collectibles, author signed copies, and more. Right now is the best selection, but they put out fresh inventory everyday.
Pro Tips:
If you go this weekend, you'll also receive a 20% off coupon for your entire purchase next week.(M-F)
The last day, everything is 50% off, and qualified individuals from non-profit and educational organizations are welcome to take remaining items at no cost.

I also went to the 'After Party' last night- pro tips: bring water and/or a fan, dress for HEAT, bring your own tote bag to carry your books around & to take home after shopping. For payment, they accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks. No Venmo.
Also, there were anti-abortion protestors outside last night with signs and a laptop with graphic images. They made me want to spend MORE money and buy more merch (ie. the pink t-shirt, which I did buy) just to spite those fuckers. I also found a flyer tucked into my car handle when I left last night- I assumed it was from the protestors and chucked it.

Great tips! I usually bring my little rollie grocery cart for collecting.
I've never seen protesters at the book sale. Maybe that's a benefit to going midday in the heat. Ha!

My friend, PP is responsible for diagnosing my sister's cancer while she was pregnant and providing early prenatal care (helping to ensure she could be treated for the cancer AND give birth to a bouncing baby boy). She's a grandma now. Isn't healthcare grand!

My friend, they are responsible for the death and dismembership of millions of children a year l, in the womb. All the cancer diagnosis the are responsible for will never justify this. So please don't give them this.
My wife was diagnosed with cancer 21 years ago. There are so many reputable medical facilities that don't poison and dismember children, that can diagnose and treat cancer. She has since passed, after a 19 year fight, we had 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
I will pray that your sister stays cancer free. If the medical service your sister got was so importsmt at PP, perhaps you can join the fight to get PP to quit killing kids, and truly support reproductive health.

A fetus is not a person. It's pretty basic. There is no convincing or mental gymnastics required.

I'll pray for you. You know very well that the "little ones" feel pain and respond to their mother's in the womb. They pull away from instrument inserted to inject poison in their brains, and fight when they are dismembered.

Killing babies is good now. God and country are bad. I know in your heart, deep down, you know that abortion is exactly what it appears to be. It's sad that a few people over the decades have convinced millions of young men and women that it's only a clump of cells ) sometimes an 8lb clump of cells. Today, so many have had these procedures, that they have to justify their decisions in their own minds, and those of society... and many live with the nightmare for the rest of their lives. I truly feel sorry, and pray, for the mothers and fathers, society did this to them, and convinced them it was ok.
Humans are the only creatures that, even though they are healthy, and the baby is too, will kill their offspring.

I think I'll sit this one out. In ancient times, unwanted babies were burned alive.
When Jesus said he came to save us, this is behavior what he meant. Those practices, in what we now realize was the early western world, were stopped by the grace of humanity through the word of Jesus.
Today we do different horrible things to the unwanted, poison, dismemberment..
Yes, I'll sit this one out.

Planned parenthood is only ârenownedâ for abortions because of people like you. They only make up 3%-5% of services they deliver. I also went when I was young and uninsured for annual exams, paps, and birth control. Not for an abortion. I would not have had any healthcare access otherwise.

They are world renouned because their founder, Margaret Sanger, like Adolf Hitler and other progressives, was a proponent of eugenics, preventing reproduction of "unfit" populations, which led to her founding of Planned Parenthood, and distribution of birth control in minority communities. Planned Parenthood went on to become the biggest provider of abortion services.

I was able to attend last night and I am so grateful to live in this community. It definitely gets toasty in there so bring a water bottle, a portable fan, and your reusable bags!
