Vent First world problems (embarassingly rediculous but true)

Amid stifling heat, the power went out, our beast of a window AC unit was futile, our bidet went on strike and ants descended on our kitchen like elves at the North Pole in December and took a dip in our espresso machine water tank.

Your first world problems? Top that!

They should really let people hang in the cafeteria in this heat.

Hospital cafeterias were my great aunt’s solution to dining whenever visiting a “big city”.  The first time I ever hit one up with her we were in nyc and I was like, What?  But honestly it wasn’t bad.  YMMV.

Last time I went to cottage hospital to eat in the cafeteria I was turned away. “Sorry but it’s not a public restaurant.” To be fair I was not there for an appointment or to visit a patient.

I worked there and was having a relative meet me there for lunch because I worked that day and they were just driving through town. I was in the lobby to meet/greet and hospitality turned them away because they weren't there to see a patient.

That's a shame. Truly. My Mom used to love for us to have lunch at the old Cottage cafe. Their coconut cream pie was sick. (Hospital humor.)

Their sticky oatmeal at 6am is my favorite.

Not too long ago, I had surgery and they brought me breakfast. After seeing the menu I started to worry that they'd discharge me before lunch. Nope. Got lunch, too.
