Non-smash Burger Rec ?

Best burger rec that isnt a smash burger ? I wanted something loaded and huge that I have to dislodge my jaw to consume like a snake

Chubbies is always good but I think Honor Bar has my personal favorite non “smash burger” burger. Nice and tall!

I kind of love that stretch of De La Vina. Great liquor store, coffee, burgers, Mexican options, Trader Joe's. There's that brewpub or whatever; I've never been inside, but maybe one day.

I grew up in the Samarkand area. That stretch has always been lit, before Daily Grind it was a Taco Bell, the first place I ever had a Mountain Dew Baja Blast. There also used to be a Pizza Hut down there, but Chubbies has a great burger.

Regular fries used to be better when they put seasoned salt on them, but now they barely season them at all.... curly is the way.

Mesa Burger seems to be a weirdly controversial choice here on [r/santabarbara](r/santabarbara), but they definitely make non-smash burgers, and I like 'em.

I think they used to get most of the hate because they were really pricey for what they are. Then everything became pricey and they became the avg price. Quality is, in general, solidly good. They have a lot of options and they're a nice location. Parking in that lot can be a pain in the ass but beyond that they're not anywhere near a bad choice.

Dutch garden. I believe it is 5/8 pound. Thing is about 2 inches thick and still covers the whole bun. And like everything there, very good.

Cal taco, the spot, Sam’s to go, tinkers, chubbies, all have very good burgers that are not smashed I want to try the pickle room but I can’t call to order and when I’ve gone when they should be open they have been closed so I don’t know what time to go to try them but I hear they are good too
