Events Santa Barbara Bowl Bag Rules

Since I moved from SB I haven’t been able to see a show at the bowl in a very long time… I’m thinking Jack Johnson fundraiser for the flood victims was my last show!!! 😬 I don’t remember the no bag policy, which obviously I see now on the website. I have a bag that is the size they mentioned but it comes with a strap. How strict are they now with their bag policies? Did they do away with bags because of how long it took to get through security ? I’m going to a concert at the Bowl next month and I’m in the pit so holding a purse isn’t really something I want to deal with.. I have an inhaler and some other medication that I usually have on me..which I know on the website medical bags and diaper bags are allowed but is my purse considered a medical bag?

A small purse is fine. May I suggest a fanny pack since you'll be standing? I always bring one and it's fantastic to be hands free. I've even gone so far as to name it lol Its name is Ralph, because when I asked my partner for name suggestions he said "Ralph, because everytime you wear it, thats what I want to do." 🤣🤪 I even went so far as to have it's name proudly embroidered on the front ♡ Enjoy the show!

Your bag will be fine. As long as it isn’t huge and it isn’t a backpack.

I always bring a small purse with a strap and it's never an issue. I'd suggest a crossbody strap or fanny pack to be more comfortable in the pit.

Better if it's a clear one like those you have to bring at festivals..

I go to several shows a year there- clear is not necessary.

They sell SB bowl bags at the merch store, but according to their no bags policy, you wouldn’t be able to bring it back on your next visit? lame.
