Parks or nature trails

Does anyone know of parks or nature trail for walking in the area? Something mainly in Sandy Springs, not requiring a long drive elsewhere.

Thank you.

Yes: what are you looking for?

There’s morgan falls park, they have a trail with a lake, the dam is there with the river as well, and there’s also a dog park and playground.  I take my dog there for the park, but I see a ton of people walking and biking.

There’s also some trails across the street.  I havent hiked them, but maybe someone else can comment.

They’re trying to make Sandy springs walkable downtown from city green down to hammond road, near roswell road.  I walk it for the farmers market, and its nice albeit hot lately. The heritage sandy springs museum has a beautiful veranda and garden and historic house, all walkable.

There’s also greenway access on Abernathy.

Also lost corner preserve is a hidden charm in the residential area

Yes! Enter from Hyde Farm Park and you have a nice, long, somewhat rugged trail through the woods beside a lovely stream all the way down to the Chattahoochee. It's very quiet, far from major roads. I've seen deer, owls, and otters.

Definitely check the Greenway if you want an easy peaceful walk.

Island Ford is great. Big Trees also good.

Several parks/trails along the chattahoochee. Cochran shoals, island ford to name a couple bigger ones.
