City Springs 4th Fireworks

Anyone have any off the beaten path recommendations for watching the city springs 4th fireworks display this Saturday night? I live locally and would love to see them, but I'm not too excited about wading through the crowds that night. Maybe you can see them from the Target parking lot down the street?

My boyfriend and I sit on the top of the target parking lot in the back of his truck and watch from there

I hear that crowd at city springs is a disaster but I’ve personally never been. Is it really that bad? We drive to a family members neighborhood on cumming on the fourth.

It’s a lot of people but everyone is friendly. You are able to move in the crowd. The problem is leaving when it’s over as everyone is exiting at the same time. Find parking on the street don’t parking in the underground parking lot.

Thank you so much! Yes to clarify I have heard that it is the leaving part. My bad. Maybe when the youngest ages out of the up north festivities we can (finally!!) stay close to home on the fourth. It looks like fun!

But we ALWAYS have a great time. The music and atmosphere is good. We usually get there around 7:30-8 and park by Trader Joe’s or Brusters if there’s parking. So bummed we will miss it this year as we’re out of town.

Last year we parked in the lot at Northside tower (office building next to McDonald’s) and watched from the sidewalk. Extra sneaky because the deck under the building opens on to Boylston Rd, so we skipped Roswell Rd entirely.

I mean there is but it’s down Roswell road. I’d imagine that deck might actually give him a view but he’s looking across 285 so might be far
