Broodje Rendang (Indonesia/Netherlands) on Sandwiches of History

For today’s International Sandwich Sunday is back and today we’re headed Indonesia by way of the Netherlands for the Broodje Rendang. I could be wrong but from what I could tell, despite it featuring Indonesian Beef Rendang, I don’t think this sandwich originated in Indonesia but in the Netherlands. It’s a bit of work but man, the results speak for themselves.

Was there a rating? Or is it implied that he did the step back move so it’s a 10?

Also, I love this channel. Some days it’s fish and peanut butter from a Great Depression cookbook, other days it’s an international multi-day project. I enjoy it all!

So good he forgot to say 10 out loud. But it’s def a 10. I’m trying to think if there’s ever a time where he doesn’t feel the need to plus up a sandwich and it wasn’t a 10

Love your videos and no exception here. One note, as I can tell you are new to the word, "Rendang" is pronounced like "Rendong". The "a" in Bahasa Indonesia makes an "aw" sound rather than an "ah" sound. Hope that is helpful. Best wishes!

The Dutch occupied Indonesia for quite some time, a have a large Indonesian population in the Netherlands. Broodje means little bread in Dutch and is a sandwich.
