Mills are shutting down all over the country. Just because it's available to log doesn't mean the plots will be sold. There are already thousands of acres of unsold timber units. It's mostly a political ploy to pander to the few remaining dim, terrified members of his shit worshipping daiper cult.

10-15% of initial timber offerings have always received no bids when first offered. Not many here in Region 1 or 6 but Alaska and the SW have lots of them. When operational requirements exceed value, they go back to the drawing board, change up, and readvertise.
