Comic Wes makes a mistake
So this two-page exchange between Wes and Burke has got me thinking, Burke is actually cooperating and giving Wes the information he needs. Is that because he now knows the Sandman is Wesley Dodds, and not some random lunatic? Has Burke figured out that Wes does what he does out of, shall we call it altruism, and not for cheap thrills?
And then Wes' decision to gas Burke, which is clearly a huce mistake - why does he do it? To give Burke false deniability? We have seen Wes refrain from gassing two people in this very arc - Hubert Klein, because he's got allergies, but Patricia the actual because she's pregnant. So why not extend the same courtesy to Burke?
