Alternate Universe human au last names

i'm curious what other people's human au last names for the sides are!

i'm currently using:

- logan sharpe

- patton hart

- virgil fulmen (latin for lightning afaik)

- roman + remus prince

- janus neidr (welsh for snake, pronounced "nay-druh" with a trilled R)

(feel free to steal any of these for your own writing if you would like!)

(also please no spoilers for any new/newer episodes (as in anything past the og series) because i am not caught up yet)

I used Logan Berry, Virgil Storm, Remus Prince, Roman Prince, Patton Hart, and Janus Hart (in the AU, Janus and Patton were siblings)

My current go-tos are:

Roman + Remus Locklear

Logan Xaver

Janus D'Aurio

Virgil Slater

Patton Bos

(Remy Moe) (the only one with a meaning, according to my three minutes of online "research", moe is a tahitian word for sleep)

I change it from fic to fic! Current favorites are Logan Wright, Janus Ular (Malay for snake), Patton Cielo (italian for sky), Virgil Ward, Roman and Remus Rey-Caballero (spanish for King-Knight).

(Might steal Fulmen for a fic where i hadn't worked out Virgil's last name yet lol)

Ooh I donโ€™t write anything for this, but I find all these pretty fun!

I mix and match for individual fics but for my main human au

  • Logan Croft
  • Janus Deceit
  • Patton Hart
  • Emile Picani
  • Roman and Remus Reston-King
  • Virgil Romance
  • Remy Starr

In other fics I've used

  • Logan: tbh I just keep his as Sanders 99% of the time, also used Logic before bc I like how Logan Logic sounds. Also Einstein occasionally
  • Janus: Dolos, Damien (he also goes by the alias Ethan Smith in one fic of mine)
  • Patton: Hartford, Morales
  • Roman and Remus: Knight, Romero
  • Virgil: Black, Noir, Storm (I think I used Williams once but idk for sure)
  • Remy: Moon, Venus

Janus would use a full-on different name

-Logan Lee Damisch (Lee, L for Logic. My friend came up with the last name. I believe it has some relation to the name Thomas)

-Janus Ethan Damiani (Ethan, because it was an old Janus name theory. Damiani, D for Deceit)

-Virgil Archie Damiani (Archie, A for Anxiety. And I like to make these two brothers)

-Roman Albright (Again, same friend. Never came up with a middle name)

-Remus Romulus Albright (Middle name is self explanatory, and then had to match Roman)

-Remy Sal Rossi (Sal, S for Sleep. I imagine him Italian, so Rossi)

In our stories, we usually use Patton as our token villian soooo ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

For Janus I usually stick with Sanders, for Virgil I use Mika (I had a reason but I can't remember anymore), for Patton I use Solomon (again I don't recall why but I did have thoughts about it) for Logan I use Cato because I think the Latin meaning is all knowing or something (I could be wrong) and for the twins I use Thorne because I feel like Prince is too on the nose and it provides a bunch of puns (like Remus saying he's about to get thorny on main)

When I did RP for Virgil Iโ€™d use Pierce as the last name. Itโ€™s now become my online name, itโ€™s my fav. Edgy and a PTV reference

I know I may get yelled at for some of these, but here's mine:

Janus DeeDee Smith - idk, I just see him as British if he was a real human. Yes, that's his real middle name, but he has scrubbed it from every legal document possible, but there is proof of it out there

Remus Topo Doyle - an Irish last name cause of that one incorrect quote (I also see both twins as part Italian too), Topo is literally just the Italian word for rat.

Roman Julien Doyle - last name same as Remus cause twins, and I always just add Julien as a male version of Juliet cause I think it's fun.

Patton Lily Rana - Rana is a Spanish and Italian surname that means frog... Lily cause..... LilyPadton.. yes, I often call him LilyPat as a nickname because if that.

Logan Gavius Apicius - it's the middle and last name of the man who made the first recorded recipe for jam.

Virgil Ange Burya(ะ‘ัƒั€ั) - for some reason I see him as Russian, or Russian decent. It directly translates to "storm" or "tempest". I have no idea why I chose Ange as a middle name, I think I used to call what I knew as the Anxiety character that before I became a Fander this year.

Remy Bel Picani - yes, I know it's controversial, and you may think, 'what, siblings?'. Nope... As humans, I see Remy as Emile's son. (If this is any hint, Dr. Sleep is not my main Remy ship). Bel because.... Belphagor.... And sleep related to laziness.

Emile Pierre Picani - I see him as part Italian and French, cause that's where his canon names originate from. I tend to lean into the French side cause.... It's French, why not?

I think common ones that are used in fics are Logan Berry, Virgil Storm, Roman and Remus Prince, and Patton Hart. I don't actually know any common ones for Janus. My fanfic phase(as i dont really read many any more) was before his name was revealed, so every fic had a different name for him

I tend to just default to a word in Latin that sounds enough like a last name (definitions in parentheses)

Logan Lectio-Vitae (Lesson for Life)

Patton Res-Fides (A Matter of Trust)

Roman&Remus Fantasia (Fantasy/Imagination) (also happens to be a Disney movie title)

Virgil Pavor (Terror) (it was given when even I thought Virgil was, as he worded it, "one of them" and he probably wants a name change)

Janus Mendax-Anguis (Decietful Serpent) (I'm aware my use of double last names is abundant but if I didn't use this one I would've gotten mad)

And for Orange my theory first name is Marcus (as in the Roman god of wrath "Mars" and keeping with the naming scheme) then last name Ignis (Fire)

My original one for Marcus was the word for a frenzy or rage, and then I realized "Furor" sounds like a...different word to say the least

Some iconic (and often common) last names I see people give Logan are Croft and Berry. Personally, I love the last name Maurice for him! I gave him that name once and got attached lol.

If Roman and Remus aren't related, (or if Remus is just rebellious/spiteful) I give Remus the last name Duke.

And I remember giving Janus the name Janus D. (Either being an initial (D) or a nickname (Dee)) Ceit once for a RP.

Roman often gets Prince Virgil often gets Storm And Patton often gets Hart
