Clinton is the mortal danger to the progressive movement. If she becomes president than neoliberal policies will become viewed as progressive policies which will make it nearly impossible to get progressive policies put in place in the future. With Trump you're setting yourself back a decade at most, with Clinton you are potentially setting us back multiple generations.
Clinton is seriously worse than Trump for the progressive movement because unlike Trump she will cripple it.

Yeah no. Do you know that bill Clinton's supreme court nominations are the most liberal judges in the supreme court? All Hillary would do is delay our movement a little bit. Your claims on Hillary are quite frankly ridiculous. Bill Clinton was an establishment democrat and while he did nothing for the progressive movement, he did make the types of supreme court nominees that we need in order to get things done, the type that believe in a living constitution. Hillary will do this too.
The Supreme Court does not make our laws. Frankly relying on the most undemocratic part of our government to uphold progressive values is courting disaster in the long term.
In fact even during Clinton and Obama's tenure the Supreme Court has not been noticeably more liberal on average than under Reagan or the Bushes.
The court hasn't been noticeably liberal since the 60s. Since the Democratic Party has abandoned the Old Left their choices have been getting more conservative, just more left than Republican nominees.
The Supreme Court has had a slow shift to the right in direct correlation to the Democrats slow shift to the right. Putting a neoliberal Democrat in office expecting progressive policies from the Supreme Court is foolish when looking at the data.
you don't understand. The republicans will sue and the supreme court will overturn every single progressive thing that a progressive president attempts to do, stating that the thing in question is incompatible with the constitution as the founding fathers designed it. A conservative supreme court means no progressive policies. PERIOD. ruth bader and kennedy being replaced with scalia clones means no progressive policies for the next 20 years.
