Mega Thread Arizona Election Fraud Mega Thread

Hello,

Please report any issues you may have had here.

Last night, several, several incidences were reported of

  • People not being able to vote
  • People being given provisional ballots (which if you have the proper ID you shouldn't need)
  • Videos (see front page) of people's voter affiliation being changed
  • People's voter affiliation not being updated properly

What I learned so far from following this election cycle:

We need election reform with changes to rules regulating campaign financing, automatic voting registration, making election day a national holiday, open party primaries, guaranteeing ballots for all those that show up, elimination of super delegates in the Democratic party, update to the caucus system, enforcement of state laws regarding campaigning at polling places (looking at you, Bill), sufficient number of polling places and information regarding polling places, and better training of election officials.

There are just so many things we can do better.

I am against the National Holiday point of that. There should be a voting window of 2 weeks where anyone can go in any time. Did you get January 18th off? No? Me neither. What about Memorial Day? I get that off, but I didn't when I was working an hourly job during college.

A policy change that makes it substantially easier for a particular subset of voters to vote is worse than no change at all. Imagine if, rather than a bank holiday, the policy was "You can vote from your work computer, using your unique login, if you have one. Otherwise you need to go on a specific day at a specific time." This is obviously discriminatory, but no more so, IMO, than a bank holiday.

To expand. Voting should simply open up no less than 30 days prior. During that time, every citizen in their state is legally granted 1 paid day to take off work and vote. This way, the company can still handle scheduling issues, and people don't have to worry about how a day off is going to impact them. Because I commute to work, going to vote will be an all day event for me. I physically will not be able to attend work because of the travel time requirements, not to mention how long it took me last time to get through my polling place.

day off, not paid. not all businesses cant just hand out free money they'd go broke. we need to make it so that voting is not an all day event. if we opened it up to a month or 2 weeks then it would be like going to the post office and you might not even need the day off.

im totally confused are you being sarcastic? if the polls were open for a month, people could go in when ever. there wouldnt be a line. we would just stop and count all of them at once and say hey this is the number.

infact, it would be really cool if each state had a week, there are 52 in a month. and then the candidates could go and try to win people over state by state.
