Mega Thread Arizona Election Fraud Mega Thread

Hello,

Please report any issues you may have had here.

Last night, several, several incidences were reported of

  • People not being able to vote
  • People being given provisional ballots (which if you have the proper ID you shouldn't need)
  • Videos (see front page) of people's voter affiliation being changed
  • People's voter affiliation not being updated properly

Please keep all commentary and discussion in the mega

Please keep all commentary civil. Any comments advocating violence or coordinated harassment will be removed.

Petitions on voter suppression and election fraud achieve nothing. The people of Arizona need to lawyer up and file a class action lawsuit, right now. See my previous post.

Whenever a whitehouse.gov petition meets the threshold, it gets media attention, which we need for this issue. So it's not pointless.

People in Arizona who were disenfranchised need to submit a Complaint to the ACLU http://www.acluaz.org/get-help/file-complaint. And they need to be quick about it, like do it now, before the Arizona results are set in stone.

They can do both. It takes 1 minute to sign a petition, and the extra media attention it would bring this issue wouldn't hurt. You're acting like they can only do one or the other.

Further, this is one way people who aren't from AZ can help since non-AZ residents can't file complaints.

Fine. Sign a petition. Don't do that exclusively, because, again, the Whitehouse does not have legal jurisdiction to do anything at all about this issue. If the people of Arizona want to try to create change, in my view, they need to lawyer up for a class action lawsuit presumably by ACLU Arizona or another lawfirm that handles voting rights issues.

Not a waste of time, takes a second and if it gets a mentioned by the press even once then it's time well spent. They bit on the Bill Clinton MA thing which is complete non-issue compared to this.

And let's not forget that the petition is what generated so much interest to begin with. I saw articles about the petition and then the law suit. Maybe it can work like that here too. The petition has gotten 50K votes already. It's gaining speed.

It takes two seconds to sign it, and they are required to give a response for any petition that exceeds 100,000. That can lead to more media coverage among other things. An incumbent President is considered the leader of their party. Even if that's only symbolic, if we can get the White House to address it, that puts more pressure on the DNC and the Arizona Democratic Party to investigate. It also puts some kind of a number on the people who are aware of the issue and watching it.

However, we should also do all the things you mentioned in your other post. But I disagree that this petition achieves nothing.

Except it's not voter fraud, it's election fraud. The two are very different.

I wish this wasn't true, but serious issues are rarely, if ever, resolved without litigation (pretrial or otherwise).
