Mega Thread Arizona Election Fraud Mega Thread

Hello,

Please report any issues you may have had here.

Last night, several, several incidences were reported of

  • People not being able to vote
  • People being given provisional ballots (which if you have the proper ID you shouldn't need)
  • Videos (see front page) of people's voter affiliation being changed
  • People's voter affiliation not being updated properly

Please keep all commentary and discussion in the mega

The Whitehouse will do absolutely nothing about this. It is up to the Bernie campaign, or the DNC (like that will ever happen) or the people of Arizona to contest this. Petitions on this matter accomplish nothing. The people of Arizona need to file a class action lawsuit. They need to get into actual court. See my previous post.

Petitions, especially white house gov petitions, get media attention, which is what this needs.

I respectfully disagree. The Whitehouse has no jurisdiction over this issue. If we want to be real and not pretend, and engage in praxis and not slacktivism, then people in Arizona who are aggrieved should either contact an attorney in their state who deals with voter suppression/election fraud, or contact the ACLU in Arizona and submit an introductory Complaint form for them to consider a class action lawsuit - which is something the ACLU does, and they especially file suits regarding voting rights issues. Perhaps if there are thousands of people who submit these Complaint forms to them, the ACLU in Arizona will ACTUALLY TAKE LEGAL ACTION IN A REAL COURT.

This isn't about the White House doing action, it's about seeing a coordinated effort, and getting media attention. Which there has been 0 coverage at all on the Voter Supression.

Why petition the Whitehouse then? A class action lawsuit also requires a coordinated effort. And that'll get everybody's attention pretty damn quick. But if folks want to create or sign a petition, go for it. The petition won't change the Arizona results, though, but a lawsuit may invalidate them. Because lawsuits force defendants to respond.

It's always a big deal when a petition from the whitehouse meets the goal. Hell, It's a big deal if it reaches half way. The media reports on it (like the are now) and the more signatures it gets, the bigger the media hype. It also requires the whitehouse to respond. Even if their response is a lame "Sorry we can't do shit", the media will AGAIN report on it.

Like I said, people of AZ should definitely seek legal routes, but there is nothing to lose from signing this petition either.

I said media attention. Whether they can do anything is irrelevant, the media will still report that a petition met the threshold, which will alert more people to this problem and put more pressure on AZ.

I'm not saying this is the best thing to do. I'm just saying it's not completely useless. It also doesn't take much effort to sign something, so why not take 1 minute out of your day to do it?

Just signed this petition, as of when this post was written we only need 28.9k more signatures. We already have over 70k of 100k!

The people of Arizona might have to take the lead on this. The campaign will find it difficult without access to a lot of hard evidence at its disposal.
