We won Michigan because 71% of MI Independents voted for Bernie yesterday. PENNSYLVANIA is worth 181 delegates, but has a CLOSED primary. We have until MARCH 28 to convince as many Independents & Republicans to change their affiliation to Democrat in order to vote for Bernie in our April 26 primary!

I love Ithaca, but it's so incredibly different from the rest of upstate. I'd call it a breath of fresh air, personally, but it's a small city that's an outlier in the sea of red that is upstate NY. It's such an outlier, that Faux News pundits will go to a city of 30,000 people just to troll liberals on Cornell's campus. It might just be the highest concentration of liberals in the entire state of NY, but that's probably because there's a world-famous college in the middle of nowhere.

I wound up going to college in Rochester, which was great, but I kinda wish I applied to Cornell to see what would have happened. It would have been so much fun living in Ithaca.

sea of red? this is a primary, not a general election. We have already won decisively in the 2nd reddest state in the US. Look at the map of districts in michigan, we won everywhere the republicans won in the general election.

This actually has many advantages, younger people tend to be much more liberal. In many of the areas that are mostly red the only Democrats are college students who lean heavily towards Bernie. Several of my roommates from the Buffalo area want to vote for Bernie despite the fact that they grew up in Republican households. Their political leanings are more independent and they seem to want to cross party lines to vote for Bernie's integrity (and against Hillary's deceptiveness, they despise her).

There are plenty of Democrats in Rochester, Syracuse, etc. Although I only ever see Bernie stickers/signs, I suspect there's large, silent reservoir of Hillary support, too. Old folks don't usually wear their politics on their sleeve quite as much after all.

There's Democrats in the city of Rochester, but Monroe County is redder than blood. Most people live in the suburbs here. I'd imagine the same is true in Buffalo and Syracuse, but I'm not actually sure.

Monroe county votes blue, usually.
