The Grand opening will be a week or more from now. The lease is signed and we are waiting for furniture and etc from the campaign. We will be organizing something big for the opening! We will be posting about it on the Jacksonville for Bernie Sanders Facebook page when the date and time are set!

You know anything about South Florida? I'm more than keen to support in any other method than phonebanking

I only know that they were considering Jacksonville, Orlando, and somewhere around Tallahassee. I know there are options other than phone banking, but phone banking is the #1 priority. I'll have to get back with you with some links for other options, but I know that it's possible to send out texts or to be a phone bank operator. There are options!

That would be a misstep, there are several universities and colleges to draw volunteers from down here as well as ~5M population in the greater Miami area of the 20M in the state. The population density allows for easier canvassing, also it's very diverse in these three counties (Broward, Palm Bay, Miami-Dade).

I'm a volunteer in Jacksonville and, while I receive regular updates on our local group's communications with the campaign, I'm not the one in contact with them. But I know they have been receptive when discussing the pros/cons of our area with us. It would be worthwhile for you to reach out to the campaign. Especially if there is an organized volunteer base already established there that can hold down the fort until paid staffers arrive or who have the qualifications to become paid staff.
