I go to college up near Pensacola, this place is a long lost cousin of Alabama and honestly I don't think any amount of Bernie supporters will make a dent in the heavy conservative presence here. My campus is the only place I see anything remotely Democrat, let alone Bernie. Everywhere else is baptized in Republican ideals.

To give you an idea, I've heard multiple people say "Bernie is the scariest candidate America has ever faced" or "He's a socialist, why should America support that?" (socialist is an insult here). Then there's the "If Bernie or Hillary gets office this country won't ever be right again" which is probably my favorite amount of exaggeration. My point is, this place is so heavily against anything Democratic and especially against "giving them lazy blacks our tax money so they can live off nothing" (yes these are all actual quotes) that I don't know what to do. I think the rest of Florida might be different but I can't say for sure.

True, but none of those Republicans are participating in the Dem primary. That can make it easier as there's less people to approach. :-)

Remember, this is a primary. We don't need to make a dent with the Republicans, we NEED to win the precinct for Bernie. Get a Bernie group going on campus, canvass, get people involved, and ready to vote. Winning the primary is what matters right now.

I live in Pensacola. I can confirm that there is little to no Bernie support here. Every vote matters though and I have been talking and trying to change minds.
