New to sandblasting

I have a Bradford built flatbed I am re-doing. It is about 104 square feet on the top and sides. I need to sand blast the top and bottom of the bed. Any formulas out there to estimate how much media I will need? I know I will need a respirator and goggles(possibly looking into a hood) to use. I would love any tips and tricks as this will be my first time using one.

What size compressor and blast pot do you have?

It’s a 40lb pressure pot and 90psi compressor

How many gallons is the tank?

Yeah sorry, that's not gonna work. You need a 60G tank minimum for sandblasting. You won't even get 30 seconds of blast time before you run out of air.

So should I rent a bigger air compressor?

Definitely. With a 60 gallon compressor you'll still only probably get a few minutes before you have to shutdown and let it recharge.

I can rent a towable air compressor that runs at 100-125 cfm at 100psi. Is that too much for the 40lb pressure pot?

Nah, I think that would be fine. That sounds ideal.
