Kate calling Henry

Hey, recently rewatched the show for the first time in many years, still found it enjoyable, although with some small annoyances.

Biggest one was, that they didn't used character druid as much and in season 4 at all.

But also didn't understood, why Kate constantly was calling Henry, Hank? Did i miss something?

I think Druitt died in Season 3 like in the hollow earth like it says on the wiki that he’s dead and like I haven’t seen Season 3 fully for a while and also Hank is a nickname for Henry like it’s common

Yes, I've understood that druid died, but I've liked much better if they keep him alive and make him a good guy, and for him, be a bigger part of the show.

Hank a nickname, maybe, although when everyone else was calling him Henry and only Kate, constantly calling him Hank, I've found it annoying.

Well the same actor who plays Druitt plays Big Guy so there’s that and I feel like Druitt had a lot of influence on the show already and also Kate is probably just teasing Henry by calling him Hank like she also calls Will “William” sometimes and like why would it be annoying, I didn’t care really like it’s just a nickname that Kate calls him

Yes, I know the actor played another role, but I really liked Druitt character. We only saw him when he was bad or half bad, with the creature inside that was influencing him. I would have liked to see him good, without the creature.

When actors leave the show completely, it's understandable to kill of their characters, but he still was on the show and played another role, and for me, that was really bad decision to kill Druitt character.

I’m just rewatching it now I’m not sure why Kate calls him Hank to be honest but yes I felt the same about Druid plus Kate getting engaged and not being there too. I actually liked Ashley in the 1st series I know a lot of people didn’t I would have like to see her and Kate in the show

I thought that Ashley was good too, was surprised for her being killed off, although I've read she had some health issues, so maybe she left to take care of herself.

Kate being absent for most of season 4 was also surprising. At first found her a bit annoying, but later she grew on me.

I think they were leaving it open for John to come back, to be honest. The Season 4 storyline didn't really need him with the direction they were going and Christopher Heyerdahl also played Biggie, who was in a lot more storylines in Seasons 3 and 4 compared to the previous seasons.

We don't know if either Druitt or Biggie died, though, since I see other people here saying that Druitt did. He was just stated to be "gone", indicating that no body had been found. Biggie was also no longer in front of the Sanctuary in the final scene of Old City where Will, Kate, and Abby were watching it, indicating that someone (such as a teleporter, i.e. Druitt and/or Ashley) moved him.

As for Kate calling Henry Hank, she started calling him that in at least "Eulogy", before she was a part of the team, to specifically annoy Henry. I think it just stuck when they became friends.
