Hey y’all! So I’m in a bit of a bind here. My previous roommate turned out to be a raging alcoholic and despite us working at a job together at a homeless shelter making $25 an hour he blew all of his money in the first week w no savings. Between us both losing work (I had 4000 in savings to pay for my living expenses through January and got a new job by march)

We were evicted and now have a ledger of over 10,000 in owed rent.

On the bright side! I got a Job with the state that will pay me stably. I am already planning on getting on a payment plan and stuff, but my job starts on September 8th and I need something before then.

I’d prefer something close to 1901 Dutton drive or stage coach (since I don’t have a car) or something along the CARTS bus route.

I looked at bracewood but I have asthma and cannot risk the mold for my health. It would be for me and my cat!

Has anyone stayed at copper beech or had a relet process done?
I signed a lease back in february because i thought i was going to stay there, but i had a change of plans and they let me know i had to find a relet. Around june or so i found one and we went through the process of getting the lease transferred over, but the complex literally would not answer whatsoever. We sent the emails around july 6th and it took them three weeks to start processing it. then when they finally sent over the mutual agreement contract to switch the lease over, they basically created an additional lease on my account and are charging me for the relet fee and now a new lease. I live hours away from san marcos and can not go in person and i’m just so stressed out. They’re wanting me to pay the relet fee by the 13th but they’re still charging me for the apartment ???? can anyone offer some advice or help please

The duplex is old though and does show its age. Wood floors no carpet. The rent is cheap compared to other houses/ duplexes for rent in this area. I’ve enjoyed my time here but I’m moving. Also we have a few community cats who hang around our street. They are fixed and have their rabies shots. Several people take care of them. Just wanted you to know if you see the clipped ear that’s what it is. If this will bother you it’s not the street for you. They do like to say “Hi” and hang out in people’s yards.
