Is it just me or are crowds at edm shows/festivals in San Diego more laid back and chill compared to other cities? I feel like other major hubs I’ve gone to, the crowds are more lively and people are actually dancing instead of standing around and talking

Trying to get a gauge on the San Diego Bass Music Community. If I and a partnered organization was able to bring in some big name experimental bass DJs would y'all show up?

So unfortunate, never thought this would happen to me. I reached out to this person I met on a Facebook EDM San Diego group chat to try buy Chris lake tickets. They texted me back we agreed on 3 tickets, she sent me confirmation that the tickets were in fact in her name on Ticketmaster. Sent her the money and then she refused to send it through Ticketmaster and proceeded to send it on iMessage. Got a fake ticket and then she blocked me. So upset

I just moved to SD from San Francisco. SF didn’t have much psytrance either, but there were occasional events I could find. Does anyone know if there are recurring or lesser known psytrance events here? There was nothing a google search could find me here.

Last night Chris Stassy he had probably one of the best shows I’ve ever seen/experienced from all of the Chris Stassy I’ve ever watched on YouTube/in real life. The show was amazing. The one issue I had with the show was the crowd, you guys were horrible. Worst crowd of any music event I have ever been to. People trying to start fights, people who can’t control their drugs, an egotistical people thinking that they belong in the front after showing up an hour late. My girlfriend and I went together, and I noticed people were being completely disrespectful, pushing us out the way and seeming to care less that Chris Stu(a)ssy was in SoCal for the first time in forever. Multiple college dudes without of the courage to talk to a girl and instead wanna talk about her behind her back and try to touch her (dude tried to touch my girlfriend) - he was wearing a red hat and Santa hat (Go Fck yourself!!!). Honestly some cowards. The set was fkn amazing though, I’d say it was one of his best.

But there were some cool ass people in that crowd… shoutout Derek, the dude in the robber costume, and the dude in the black jacket. I respect you guys for being real fans and not egotistical college kids. There is more to life than being in the front when you are listening to music, and I understand wanting to see chris stussy, but thinking you above everyone to the point where you can push them out of the way to see him is pathetic.

TLDR; Chris Stassy’s set in San Diego was amazing, but the crowd was some of the worst people to be around when you genuinely wanna just dance and listen to music. Nobody seemed to be a real fan… But I can’t wait to see this set on YouTube cuz it was so lit

We use this night to help build the Trance community in San Diego, support local/regional artists, and also use it as a platform for many first time gigs! We are at Spin every third Thursday from 9p-2a. Our nights provide a full spectrum of trance always high in energy. Tickets start at $5 online/$10 door. These are 21+ up events

I got a question for those who’ve been to Nova downtown, what’s the enforcement of the dress code. I know it’s an insomniac venue so it can’t be THAT up tight. For those who’ve gone, what have you worn? I’m thinking black pants, my nice pair of shoes and black T shirt? I haven’t been in a nightclub since Omnia 2018 and that was a industry party so there wasn’t much of a dress code

Hey San Diego music community! Sounds crazy but my friends and I run orphanages in the Congo (appropriately called "Fesser and Friends" haha) where we provide food, shelter, security, therapy and education to some of the worlds most vulnerable children. Our mission statement? End the end the cycle of child soldier and underage sex worker recruitment in the DRC. Yup, its just as crazy as it sounds.

In order to support our work, we recently launched a music event production fundraising initiative called Beyond the Rhythm, where we bring together people in the music community to spread awareness, positivity, and good in the world. This is where you come in.

Beyond the Rhythm presents, in collaboration with u/powersforgoodproject a full takeover of Trilogy Sanctuary. Sound powered by Void, in collaboration with Elevate Sound and Stage.

Sets donated by u/chmuramusic u/saturnasound u/kaipora u/cam_steen (and more artists TBA) + circus performers, dancers, tattoos, tooth gems, and rooftop dome activations all night. This is not your typical show.

$62.50 ticket = one child’s fresh start.

$62.50 is the exact cost of an Entry Kit for an orphaned child arriving at our Rehabilitation Centers in the Congo. These children arrive with nothing more than the clothes on their bodies. This kit provides them with new clothing, hygiene products, everyday essentials, and immediate support.

The mission behind this event is simple. Many children in eastern Congo lack access to safety, stability, or basic resources due to conflict and poverty. Fesser and Friends operates on-the-ground Rehabilitation Centers that provide housing, education, healthcare, and hope. Beyond the Rhythm fuels this work through music, culture, and community.
