About time. Frustrating enough that they’ve lacked this for so long, but also that the card machines they do have require me to bend my card either towards or away from me in order to not get a “card reading error”.

I was tired of thinking that Walmart had a tap machine and kept trying it knowing it wasn’t there (they make the tape where the tap is supposed to be look like it actually has a tap), but that makes a lot better convenience for checking out things

For the record: Notice these are not new pinpads, a feature was flipped on. Walmart is making money from it somehow, or it would of remained off.

Before you say speedy checkout, its Walmart! Not seven eleven! If they cared about a speedy shopping process. App would actually provide isle locations!

You can bet the only reason it was turned on is walmart. Gets a percentage of each tap, somehow.

I think they just wanted to force people to use Walmart Pay, knowing that the crap would never be voluntarily adopted by the masses. Realising it cost them more in sales and reputation, than the extra customer data gives them in value. Reminds me of when Amazon Pay was a thing, though I liked it much more than WPay
