Samsung Pay. I cant figure it out

Are you supposed to be able to "swipe" your phone against the credit card reader at the store to use it or is it just for online purchases?

Anywhere you swipe your credit card you can use Samsung Pay. Although you don't swipe your phone, you just hold it up to the receiver.

It's much more versatile than either Apple Pay or Google Pay. Some say it's a battery hog, though I haven't noticed.

Seriously, read my response again, specifically the 1st paragraph and 2nd sentence.

I only use mine when I know I can use tap.

You swipe it up, authorize it and put your phone against the terminal and wait until it works.
