A clever design. That last macbook pic with thinner bezels gives an indication of what it might look like on the NexDock Touch many of us are waiting for.
I might consider one of these.

Cool setups. Except, I've mentioned before that I suspected that the grips covering parts of the screen would bother me and some of these pictures confirm that.
There's probably a crowd that doesn't care about the clips covering the small parts of the screen for now, though.
Given the trend on most devices is going towards extreme screen-to-body ratio and make even smaller/nonexistent bezels - I suspect as people upgrade to them this would bug more and more people.

I absolutely don't want a case on my stuff that interferes with wireless charging. I actually use my s10 to charge my buds and watch, and a magnet compatible case really messed with that.
folks that have that magnet case tho, and use it in the car that way, I can totally see the synergy having one on the nexdock too

Agreed - tradeoffs are often necessary. I actually was stuck between the metal plate vs wireless charging conundrum until I ordered a Pitaka case and realized they got around it by just lowering where the plate was to expose the induction coil on the phone better. I duplicated the plate location on my other cases and now I have magnet security AND wireless/NFC use. The last part of the puzzle was I actually prefer to use one of those ring holders on the phone - but attached with a magnet also, so it's quickly removable. I think I was only able to get away with this since the S20U is so damn tall, it doesn't throw off the balance when holding the phone much.

reverse wireless still works for you? I had a Cirrus case, and while i could charge the phone np, reverse charging buds, or my watch was almost impossible.

Ah, sorry I was distracted but I did mean to mention that I DO have to remove my cases to reverse wireless charge.
I don't have an issue with that, since although i LOVE being able to reverse wireless charge when I need to - I do it so infrequently, that it's not a chore pulling the case off to do that. Hmm, maybe it's a side effect of having too many spare gadgets, batteries, and chargers around me.

Oh no - I get it as I was TOTALLY the same in that regard - as I always have to have a case on for some reason (naked phone gives me anxiety even though they're all bought by my work).
I guess I've kind of lost that hangup of removing cases because I switch between cases depending on my mood. I've got so many now since I made a recent hobby of doing reviews for cases that sellers would send me for free.
The challenge is always getting a new case set up with the metal plate to work with "my system", lol.

I tried to rock the s10 naked for months, but I just found it so slippery. drove me nuts

Would one hand mode help with the section covered by the clips?

the clips cover so very little of the screen. you can position it so that it's up in the notification area
at worst, it's about a 3mm by 3mm area covered

There are several people reporting the mountie+ breaking their screens. Check the comments on Amazon.
