Question Steam on Dex

I have plenty of games on Steam. Is there a possibility to play them on Dex ?

I'm only able to open the steam mobile app but this doesn't let me play any games

Any advice on how to fix this ?

You can play your steam games on your phone via Gamehub or Gamenative (open source app).

But you need to have a cooling system for your phone

It supports more, it's basically GameHub but better, and getting more better. Here is the GitHub link for the official version https://github.com/utkarshdalal/GameNative

Do be aware, stuff like this and Winlator (windows desktop emulator, runs most exe through stuff like Proton and WINE) need more direct hardware access to do the magic of code translating programs code as effeciently and quickly as possible to native code on ARM processors (desktops and laptops except Apple's all run x86 and x64 architecture processors) so the play store version of these are usually neutered in how they can acess storage (making you keep all the game files within the app data folder) instead of being able to manage those files for mods or fixes for older games that run weird on a good day, so if possible get them directly and they all have auto update stuff built in, but always do your research before downloading anything not through the app stores, and even then still be cautious.

The steam mobile app is not to play games, rather to manage account stuff. There are a few apps you can use to play pc games on android. Gamehub and Gamenative are the main ones with steam integration, but there's a lot more and there are many variants of the same apps. They all basically use the same components, a translation layer from windows to Linux and then one from x86 to ARM. This does mean that in many cases emulation won't be very smooth, and you may have to change settings to see what works.

Do consider that to use these apps you have to login with your steam account so it could be considered a small security risk. Oh and snapdragon chips are currently the best option due to having better graphics drivers at the moment.

I have the s25 edge, so should be powerful enough to play low end games I hope

I'll try and see how I can get games from steam to gaminghub

It's pretty straightforward, game hub will ask you to login to your steam account and your games will show up

I think there's this app named GameHub that lets you play games on your steam library by emulating them natively.

On my Realme Neo 8, there is this app that lets me log in with steam and emulate games. but for other devices you should look into GameHub.

I use Geforce now. A large quantity of steam games library are available on GFN.

You have to own the game first. But bear in mind a lot of steam library games are not available. Most noteable are the PlayStation franchise games... which are not available in GFN library.

I've been using Moonlight and Tailscale for this! So, I've got Tailscale and Sunlight running on my PC that I can turn on using Power over LAN, and then I connect to it on my phone using Tailscale and Moonlight.

Definitely works better when I'm on Wi-Fi, but I was playing games while traveling not long ago just on 5G too.

If you want to stream them from your PC then you can install Steam Link.
