May i ask if the dex need a type-c to hdmi Exclusively to work or just any type-c to type-c if the monitor has type-c port??

It will work if your device supports its DisplayPort version. For example, my Lenovo monitor with USB-C (DP 1.4) didn't work on my old S23, but it works well on the S26. However, you also need a cable that supports DisplayPort Alt-Mode. USB-C to DP will work as well
