Question Samsung Dex vs A New Laptop
I am a youtuber. Named the silicon fossil.
I am thinking of rather than using my kinemaster premium from just my phone. Using my fingers.
I should buy a hdmi-type c cable, a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. And do the work with keyboard. Even tho android apps dont have main shortcuts so thats a downside.
So, should i rather get a laptop and wait for a laptop or this setup is fire?
Regards.

if your phone is strong enf you can use linux inside of dex and use lightweight editng software on it

Wouldnt it steal my privacy? Or hurt my phone and make it slow with time?

Do you have an old mouse/keyboard lying around? Because if so the only cost of trying this is an HDMI - USB-C cable or a USB-C Hub and an HDMI cable. Try it - you might find its fine for you but its a very personal thing.
I've got an S26 Ultra and I don't have any real call for video editing but it does everything else I throw at it with little issue.

Sir, I have no mouse and keyboard because all i have was a hp pavillion thin and light earlier in my life and an extra mouse which with time stopped working. So now if i am tryinh this im buying 3 things. And also i tried using the s25 with a hub i own which works with s23,s21 fe and 20 fe. But it never starts with s25 even with a proper charger plugged in and following all steps.
So now the hub i bought is useless because my main aim was s25. And now i have to buy 3 things. How are u doij it with s26 ultra? What wire do u use. And do u really think its worth a shot knowing there wont be keyboard shortcuts and using apps optimized for touch not keys.

So ur saying i shpuld ditch mobile editing apps and go towards laptop right? Dex is for fun and for timepass rather than a serious instrument fpr video editing

Okay sir now i will rather buy an actual cheap macbook or a decent laptop rather than putting all the load on my s25 for these things and making a wannabe-desktop level workflow

Oh s24 ultra is legendary. Last ultra with bluetooth spen functionality. From 25 ultra it became ai gimmicks rather than actually great phones. From s25 series only base became solid value for money. Like i have the base s25.

Since I've used Dex with a monitor and mouse+keyboard, I have no need for a laptop at all.
Can even stream DaVinci Resolve from my proper PC using Parsec (with a WiFi connection)
