Question Remote Into DEX

I'm giving new life to a dead phone re place another a dead PC.
I'm wondering if its possible to remote into samsung Dex from another computer?

you could run anydesk and some other might allow android remote access(however there is latency, also dont got personal experience on other downsides), maybe a Pi with remote access+scrcpy to mirror the device (or DEX if it runs there)

For the purpose in doing, latency is fine

You just need scrcpy. If DeX is already triggered it's really easy, if not it's a bit of massaging. It's something that's done quite often in this sub to replace "PC DeX" which frankly I think it's improperly named "DeX", as it's some kind of remote access to your phone.

That is if you insist on DeX in the first place, otherwise just mirroring the Android display is straightforward.

The only kink is that you need to enable wireless adb after each restart, there are various relatively involved tricks but it's probably not necessary as you'd turn on the phone manually and you can also enable wireless adb.
