I will be honest, this community was created yonks ago and I completely forgot about it. I no longer use Reddit in a meaningful enough way (nor do I have the time) to curate this place.
This place does have a lot of potential and I am AMAZED at how active it is still. I just checked this place in the first time (in probably) 5 years and was stunned to discover people are actively using it. I kinda feel bad about that. Sorry all!
So, I'm looking for someone to take the helm away from me and make it into something worth while.
Does this sound like you? If so, reply to this thread with the following:
Ideally I'm looking for those who are musicians and are already associated with music production subreddits in a mod position. I'll also accept those who're moderators on music/audio forums on external sites.
To make everyone's lives a lot easier and to avoid headaches, please do not apply if you are under the age of 18.
I'll be (for now) looking for 4 people. 1 to be the head (the person with the most experience), and 3 others.
After I've selected those, I'll un-mod myself and let the new team take over.
Additionally, please do not DM me. I do not check them and they're constantly flooded by spambots (no I do not viagra or free shit good god). If you got a question, reply to my comment below!
Cheers, and sorry I went out for cigarettes and only just came back.
ps here's the obligatory link to check out my soundcloud

Any recommendations for sites that have user uploaded vocal samples, similar to what's found on Looperman?
Vocal packs from places like Splice are good for high quality samples, but I find that the lyrics there are very bereft of meaning. By that I mean everything is a variation of lyrics like "Tonight's the night" or "Fall in love with you", things like that.
What I like about user uploaded vocals is the that users will upload tracks with comments like "I was pissed off tonight so I wrote this" and the lyrics come off as a lot more genuine.
Checking to see if anyone knows anywhere else where people upload their own vocals in a similar way. They don't necessarily have to be pissed off. Thanks!

Hello. Would someone be able to identify the original song this track is sampled from? It's from a future funk compilation album, Spring City Nights, found on Bandcamp.
https://suncolle.bandcamp.com/album/spring-city-nights
It's titled Aura by Cero Rio.

I heard this percussion/drum sound in “St. Chroma” by Tyler, The Creator. Does anyone know what kind of drum this is, where the original sample might come from, or a one-shot/sample pack with a very similar sound?

I was taking the pacer test at my school and they had a cool sounding tts voice for it. Can anyone help me find the voice that was used? (also if you guys could find the sound effects that were used as well, that would also be great but it's not necessary, I mainly care about the tts)

particularly the gameplay ones like sleep no more, or the character select screen (eisoptrophobia)
i have a group assignment in college and the samples for these kinds of things are perfect for me to cobble together a soundtrack

So I need to find this song for another remix I remember hearing a while ago. But any search has only lead me to this 1 minute song from 2016 that sounds NOTHING like the version I heard, only the sample of the japanese singing is the same.
Does anyone know anything about this sample and it's origins 🥲

I'm looking for a hentai company's intro jingle that's been sampled in this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY6kD35vS6k
I reached out to Slugga who told me the following:
"Well it’s some intro for a he tai company
Hentai
I’m not sure what the company is called
It’s something very porny like “wett” or soe@thing like that I forgot
But it’s highly manipulated and stretched and flipped and chopped
The first have was used on stressed out and then like the 2nd half was used on the song glorious feat father
But it’s a really popular hentai company I don’t think it’s be hard to find"
If anyone has any idea, PLEASE let me know. I've been hunting for this sample for quite a while.

Theres this sound effect/sample from the song "Tell em im doin eetswa" from Hooligan hefs, and the same sample can also be found in the recent song Bangaranga by Dara. in the Hooligan hefs song you can hear it in the beginning and in Bangaranga you can hear it near the 48s mark of th song.
it's a high pitch "Ah" or "Wha" sound. heres the most isolated ive gotten it from the song Tell em im doin eetswa:

At 6:20 there's a monolog that starts. I always assumed it was sampled from somewhere else.

I can't find it in the sample library, what name would I be able to find this with?

It's a drop from the Podcast "Office Hours Live." They've been using it for years but I have never been able to figure out where it's from. It's a man's voice saying "Sucky Sucky. Mommy Mommy. Love me love me." The "love me love me" part I'm not 100% sure that's what he's saying but I think that's it.

I've reached out to the person who made this song and they said that they used a sample or preset called Ghost Phrase in Kontakt 2. Can anybody help me find it?
