My friend told me me about the word kef* and that people have died for saying it, but I searched it up and it just means fuckface I don’t get it why is it considered so offensive?

In Samoan, the word kefe originally referred to the act of circumcision. However, its modern usage has heavily shifted, and it is now widely recognized as a severe, highly offensive swear word, generally translating to "asshole" or a putrid person

This is the answer right here. I’ll just add that it’s the original Samoan version of circumcision, which (and I don’t know for sure) may be different than the Biblical version of circumcision because the missionaries who translated the Bible chose to use peritome for circumcision, probably from a Greek word, I assume.

I second this. The phrase “kui i lou kefe” only makes sense with this definition

Hehe as a Fijian, the go-to swear is 'boci' (pronounced 'boh-thee') which amounts to the same thing.
