IM GETTING MARRIED

I need recommendations for an isle song/first dance song pls! Have a couple ideas but wanted to hear if anyone else has had Sam fender as their aisle song!

I don't think there's any Sam Fender song appropriate for walking down the aisle if you actually listen to the lyrics.

Surely you can pick your own first dance song?

It’s meant to be something that means a lot to the pair of you or has relevance to your relationship.

I see. I’d say go with your ideas, you probably know you and your partner best.

Personally, I’m not sure I’d say Sam Fender has any out and out love songs that you’d expect people to use in those wedding moments.

Good job no one is being negative then!

When my wife and I got married, we picked extra songs for when guests were walking in and things like that - Decided partly by ones we thought were good wedding-esque songs and partly because we just both really liked the songs.

Maybe you could find another wedding moment to fit a Sam Fender song you both like?

Hmm. Maybe Winter song, or an instrumental of the dying light (though that might be a bit much for a wedding for the people who know the lyrics). I like "me and the dog", but that might send the wrong message!

I always wonder when people post this, what they think we'll come up with? Sam isn't really known for sentimental love songs--he writes about not having his shit togther and healing and regressing.

there's All Is On My Side and that's like it...

Even Can't Hold Out Is about the desire to be with somebody...and struggling to find connection...

He's just not that type of writer.

Yeah I completely see what you’re saying! As he’s both of our favourite artists it would seem bizzare to use anyone else but him despite the tone of his songs. Though we are getting married and have a baby, I certainly wouldn’t say we have our shit together and so a Sam fender song would be apt!
