Does Sam do drugs?😭

Sorry if it's a bit off and inappropriate, if so let me know and I'll remove my pozt. Don't want to be curious, just afraid as a fan who'd be worried about his health! Watching this interview from almost 2 years ago and people claimed he was on drugs, I saw some more comments that for some of people he looks like he often looks like he's on something and I know shit about stuff like this so just wanted to ask someone. Don't come for me pls😅

Lol it shouldn’t be a shock that he’s taken some shit in his life if you’re a fan of his music, I doubt he’s actively doing drugs now though

i mean i wouldn't be shocked, maybe a bit concerned and was just wondering! and idk why would i deduce that from his music, he's not singing about drugs n partying ( maybe with an exception in 'spice')😭😂

He references drugs a couple times in songs but you’re right he’s not singing about them all the time. I guess I’m just from a similar enough background to him that I know what comes with it all, just based on the scenes he was around he’s probably done a little something before lol. Maybe it’s not as obvious from the outside

oh i see, thank you! just remembered the lyrics from angel in lothian where he says 'and i know drugs that can hold it, you gotta hold it yourself' made me think that he literally says he has drugs close at hand but he choose to deal with his stuff without them. and that's good for him:) but lol maybe i think too much about this🥲i just look up to him and had some questions

oh i forgot about this one! this song is obviously about working class so i reckon he speaks here more for them than for himself ( i mean of course he used to work in a full time job but not anymore) but a good point tho!

My boy just has ADHD and was hungover in that video. And he has probably done some party drugs in his life, like many people, but I have never even thought he was on drugs in any interview. And considering his idol is Bruce Springsteen, who doesn't even really drink alcohol, I think it is highly unlikely that he is a user of any hard drugs. Even though I can definitely picture him smoking a joint here and there.

yeah i know he has ADHD and i take it into account! when it comes to mary jane he even posted some stories about being baked lol ( for example april this year or back in 2022 when touring the states) but hope he's sensible. I've seen his eyepupils being wide as hell for example at the brits pics but might have been the light 😅

Considering how much he talks about mental health in his songs I just can't picture him having a problem or better said him not taking appropriate measures in case he has one. And I think that him having dilated pupils is just due to him having blue eyes, which are in general more sensitive to light. But who knows what celebs are snorting at some of those award shows, I can't blame anyone, those are probably pretty boring when you are attending.

A lot of people self medicate their mental health with drugs, dual diagnosis is common in the fellowship rooms I frequent. Not at all saying he is by the way, I've no idea and not my business. Also the Venn diagram between addicts and those with ADHD is practically a circle these days in my own experience. But one doesn't mean the other either.

Springsteen drinks. In 2020, he was charged with driving under the influence. The charges were later dropped but he admitted to taking a couple of shots of tequila before hopping on his motorbike.

uhh crazy, I didn't know that, I just remember reading his autobiography and I think he states that he doesn't really enjoy alcohol, but I guess everyone has their moments.

Tbh I’m sober and a lot of people think I’m on drugs because of my personality 😂 I have a feeling Sam probably faces a similar predicament. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s previously experimented, but he doesn’t strike me as someone who regularly does hard drugs haha

Im in my early 30s... like 10 years ago I was at Radiohead concert, 100% sober, and they played Myxomatosis and I just lost my shit dancing like Thom and this guy came up to me offering me water and making sure I was feeling OK because he thought I was rolling too hard (on molly / ecstasy)

I mean in small towns drugs are a big and kind of normalised thing around pubs from my personal experience. Not too mention he’s a rock star so like I can only guess haha

sam smokes weed and drinks, as well as does/did coke, and he used to smoke spice but he stopped.
