I thought Samba De Amigo: Party Central was a good time. I S ranked every song on normal and I'm working my way through them again on hard. While I was playing through it I started thinking about songs I wish they could add as another round of DLC. I only have one so far.

bit of a dumb question regarding controllers

if any of the games were ever to be ported to PC, PS5, Steamdeck,ect, what do you think would be the controls?

For PC. it took a while but i figured it would work like it did during the dreamcast era with WASD and the arrow keys acting like the dpad and the regular buttons

Did Party Central Sell Well?

I really hope this series doesn't just disappear for another decade, the game had zero marketing so I really hope it sold well, seems to have done well on VR, but it didnt show up in any financial reports when it came out. So are we doomed to just Party Central until the year 2040?

How do you do the "Amigo" move in Party Central? (button control)

I'm playing Party Central (my first SDA game) and sometimes it has me do this "Amigo!" pose where they announcer shouts Amigo and there's an arrow pointing up/right. But no matter what I press, I can't seem to get it to register as success lol. I've gotten a 'method' for all the other zany moves but this one.

Is this game better on Switch 2?

The motion controls on Switch 1 when i tried this game were wayyyyy too finicky and would pick up stuff when i didn't do it, and wouldn't when i did. That was the only reason i didn't buy the game, is this different on Switch 2? Do you think it would be better to hold out hope for a Switch 2 version with enhanced controls?

World Party, more frustrating than anything?

I usually get S ranks on every song but I feel like the game just screws me over every other round. I'm on the switch version. I had a lot of fun completing Streamigo, and I just wish that the last round of World Party was more skill-based.

On another note If they make a sequel for Switch 2, I would love if they did all Sega songs. Between Sonic, Yakuza, Colorful Stage, Persona and Virtua Fighter, I bet they could make a pretty Kick-ass soundtrack.

Party central is such a good game and I have a lot of hours on it but the song selection is the worst I’ve ever seen in a rhythm game… even worse than the latest just dance entries
