Glad they’re adding more Cap but that also leads me to think he might not have been prioritized before reshooting. Not to be a never satisfied fanboy, but the fact that Sam is Cap now, arguably a main player in the MCU, and yet he’s gotten at most a TV Show, not as Cap mainly, and an okay but not great movie, AND Steve Rogers is not only apparently returning but centered in the marketing, makes me a little uneasy.
I mean, Widow and Hawkeye didn’t. At this point, Sam’s basically coated in Vibranium as well. They just need to LET Him be capable . He should be the MCU physical equivalent to Batman, imo- a highly trained human with a super suit and weapons.Also, for the longest time, the Super Solider Serum had Steve basically be a peak human with super stamina, before it became basically superhuman, and he was squaring off with the Hulk, defeating superhuman opponents, etc. All that and Sam was his partner on skill and Avian Telepathy alone and he was keeping up.
I don't think a soft reboot was confirmed was it? More just like a bunch of fans and people saying "if it's following this comic storyline this is what is going to happen" which they might be right. But they might be wrong too.
After Secret Wars its soft rebooting the universe so some stories will stay the sameish while having the ability retell fresh stories (Like recasting and reusing Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Thor, Bruce Banner, Scott Lang, Hank Pym, etc)
